Draft Day Reflections

I attended the Sydney Draft Day for the first time this year and presented a paper on my research in nanotechnology. The topics covered on the day varied widely, including artificial intelligence, financial planning, education reform and Shakespeare.

Draft Day for me is a good opportunity to interact with Christian academics whom I don’t generally meet. Attending Draft Day this year has allowed me to think through different topics in ways I never thought before. It was very encouraging and inspiring to see Academics, Researchers and University staff-workers present topics from their fields of expertise in the light of the Scripture. Seeing this in action has encouraged me to think hard on my own field of study at Uni and to learn to better integrate God’s Word in my own professional life.
